For The Love of The Game Fund
Established by the family of Robert 'Bob' Warwick, this donor-advised fund supports a graduating member of the Utica University Hockey Team who exemplifies the values and spirit that defined Bob’s play.
Overview
For The Love of The Game Fund was created by the family and friends of Robert "Bob" Warwick, who passed away in July 2025. Bob attended Utica College and graduated in 1972. While a student, Bob played on the hockey team and was a proud member of the Theta Xi fraternity—a time in his life filled with close friendships and camaraderie. After graduating, Bob returned to Utica as a coach, where he played a pivotal role in launching and growing the hockey program.
Bob's legacy lives on in the love of the game at Utica University, and as his fund of the same name continues to grow, a monetary gift of $500 will be awarded annually to a senior on the Utica University hockey team who embodies the spirit, dedication, and love for hockey that defined Bob’s experience with the game.
