The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, Inc. awarded The Underground Cafe, a program of Utica Safe Schools,

a grant of $24,300 to renovate their new location at Westminster Presbyterian Church. On October 1, 2009,

The Underground Cafe held an open house for the community.
