
The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties elected four new trustees to its Board of Trustees at its annual meeting.
Newly elected are Mary Lyons Bradley, community volunteer; David Jones, practice manager of Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics; Linda Cohen, vice president of Old Forge Hardware; and Richard Tantillo, vice president of communications and development for Hamilton College
Milton Bloch, Timothy Foley, Mary Morse and Faye Short retired from the board after serving collectively for a total of 37 years.
Returning as trustees are George F. Aney of Herkimer, Larry Bull of Herkimer, Don Carbone of Boonville, Rudy D’Amico of Marcy, Harrison Hummel III of Mohawk, Chair-Elect Georgiana Roberts Ide of New Hartford, Robert F. Julian of Utica, Board Chair John Livingston of Clinton, Linda Macartney of Clinton, Susan Matt of New Hartford, Theodore C. Max M.D. of Holland Patent, Albert Mazloom of Utica, Sheila Smith of New Hartford, William R. Stevens of Rome, Secretary-Treasurer Judith Vicks Sweet of Clinton and Richard Zick of Rome.
The Community Foundation has been a force for improving lives and promoting philanthropy throughout Herkimer and Oneida counties since 1952. The Foundation has made more than 3,800 grants totaling over $26.8 million in support of causes ranging from education to health care, the arts to the environment. Grants are generated by the more than 240 funds that comprise The Foundation’s endowment, established and advanced by area individuals and families.
