Where a gift gives forever

RIBBLE NAMED DIRECTOR OF PHILANTHROPY

The Community Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Corinne L. Ribble as Director of Philanthropy.

Corinne brings to the post 10 years of successful experience in development, nonprofit management and philanthropy. She has served as development director for the Alaska Wilderness League, a Washington, D.C.-based environmental nonprofit, and as program planner for the City of Syracuse Department of Community Development, responsible for managing the city’s Community Development Block Grant process.

She most recently was director of development at Syracuse University’s College of Arts and Sciences, where in addition to a major gift caseload, she coordinated the college’s annual giving campaigns and stewardship programs.

Born and raised in New York’s Finger Lakes region, she holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in biology from Colgate University and a Master’s of Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, specializing in nonprofit management.

An avid reader, outdoor enthusiast and active community volunteer, Corinne enjoys spending her free time at her home in the Adirondacks.

The Community Foundation has been a force for improving lives and promoting philanthropy throughout the two counties since 1952. Since that time, the Foundation has made more than 3,100 grants totaling over $23 million in support of causes ranging from education to health care, the arts to the environment. Grants are generated by the more than 200 funds that comprise the Foundation’s endowment, established and advanced by area individuals and families.
