THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF HERKIMER AND ONEIDA COUNTIES, INC. NAMES ANNE WHITE DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND DEVELOPMENT

                                                                     

    The Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, Inc. (The Community Foundation) is please to announce the appointment of Anne M. White as Director of Marketing and Development.

    Most recently, White was Associate Director of the Stevens-Swan Humane Society and has previously held positions at the Sitrin Health Care Center and Glimmerglass Opera, earning more than a decade of not-for-profit experience. Peggy O’Shea, president and CEO of The Community Foundation, said, “We are pleased to welcome Anne into this newly-created position. This marks the next logical step in the advancement of The Community Foundation, as well as her career, and we are looking forward to working together to strengthen our community.”

    An area native, White is a graduate of Sauquoit Valley Central School and holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Nazareth College of Rochester. She was honored with a “40 Under 40 Mohawk Valley” award from the Central New York Business Journal in 2005.

    White volunteers to foster animals for the Stevens-Swan Humane Society and is an elections inspector/poll clerk for Oneida County.

    The Community Foundation has been a force for improving lives and promoting philanthropy throughout Herkimer and Oneida counties since 1952. The Foundation has made more than 3,800 grants totaling over $26.8 million in support of causes ranging from education to health care, the arts to the environment. Grants are generated by the more than 240 funds that comprise The Foundation’s endowment, established and advanced by area individuals and families.
